The town of South Fork is surrounded on three sides by the Rio Grande National Forest and some of the largest undisturbed wilderness areas in the country. The outdoor activities are countless.
Nearby the Rio Grande River and the South Fork River provide excellent trout fishing. In addition, there are many local lakes nearby. If you prefer biking, hiking or ATV’s there are many old logging and mining trails close by for breath taking views at nature’s finest.

If you’re the type that enjoys mingling with others, we offer plenty of opportunities without even leaving the facilities. We feature an outdoor area that allows for get togethers and picnics as well as open fires that capture the wild spirit and beauty of the outdoors. Hunters and anglers have a walk in freezer/cooler for their harvests. There’s an ice machine on site as well for coolers, and trips off site. Enjoy a walk to town on paved sidewalks, or kick back at the lodge and cook steaks on the grill, enjoy satellite TV, fiber optic internet, or choose from our selection of games and books.
Modern Amenities in Renovated Cabins
The log cabins are all modern with full kitchens, bathrooms, TV’s with satellite and fiber optic wi-fi. All linens, pots, and pans are furnished. Our cabins have one or two bedrooms, with queen or full size beds. Many cabins have additional fold out beds for extra accommodations for guests. With year round availability, our cabins offer a home away from home location for every activity you plan in and around South Fork.
